Showerhead Render

Going through some basic tasks to get to a final render shot or two in Blender

Acquire Model
As a challenge, I started with this model by user night-crawler on Thingiverse
Importing the files led to these 4 scattered pieces. This is all I had to start with.

Aligning the pieces
Getting everything in place accurately

Materials
Now felt like the right time to start the materials

Because the showerhead is going to be chrome, I decided to try an HDRI to help visualize the lighting
I ended up temporarily using this image by puscas_adryan on RenderHub

I did not end up using this image in the project, but it helped during this step.

Add hose
I decided to take it a step further and model a basic hose attached to it

Adding detail
It's starting to come together, but it's missing nozzles! That added detail will bring it to life.
I just modelled a basic one from scratch and used an Array modifier to duplicate them in circles.

Final Stuff
Time to assemble, tweak the lighting and get some camera shots!

Renders
Here is a typical "product" shot with soft lighting and a white background

I also rendered a version with an alpha layer, which can be cleanly used with Photoshop etc.
